1 Year Photo Shoot

Brooke had a photo shoot for her 1st Birthday. She had a great time at the park, but wasn't very happy when she had to pose with mom and dad. She's still a cutie!

1 Year Well Baby Exam

We had Brooke's 1 year doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Here are the stats:

Weight 19lbs 7oz -24%
Length 30.25inches - 86%
Head Circumference - 18.25inches - 85%

She is still tall and skinny. The doctor told us to try to feed her a little more. I'm not sure how this is possible when we are constantly trying to get her to eat more. He also is not really concerned because she has been consistently the same.

Dr. Adam was also impressed with how bright Brooke is. Which he reminded us is good, but also going to mean she's going to be into everything and cause more trouble. Brooke has about 9 words consistently now including mama, dada, kitty, fish, light, dark, up, duck, and dog. 2 is normal for age 1. He was also impressed that she will make animal noises when asked, like lion (roar), kitty (meow), and puppy (woof).

Brooke was not shy at all either. At home she has discovered my cd rom eject button my laptop, and she went straight to the dr's laptop and ejected his.

Brooke can also do all the normal things expected at one like waving, stacking two blocks together, etc. She wasn't walking other than a few steps at her appointment, but as you can see from the video below shes improving in leaps and bounds every day!

Our baby is growing up into a little girl. She's getting to be more and more fun everyday too!

Happy 1st Birthday Brooke!

Today was Brooke's actual 1st birthday. She was born at 6:04pm one year ago today! Today we threw her another birthday party to celebrate with her family and friends here at home!

Brooke got so many presents they would hardly fit on the living room floor for us to open!

Of course Brooke and Winston thought the box that the one present came in was the most fun present of all!

Brooke riding her new rocking giraffe. I wouldn't believe it either.. but it's not a rocking horse.. but a rocking giraffe. We love giraffes!

Brooke's Birthday Cake Numero Dos!

Our good friend Alison (Winston's Mom) took a cake decorating class to make Winston's 1st birthday cake super special. Alison was so nice to agree (after I begged her) to make Brooke's 1st birthday cake!

It turned out beautiful and yummy! Brooke loved it too!

Perfect Picture

I was just looking through Brooke's birthday in Michigan pictures again. I can't believe how lucky I am to have such a cute, amazingly wonderful child.

Brooke's Birthday Party

When we visited Michigan this last week. Grandmary and Aunt Veronica threw Brooke a 1st birthday party there so they could celebrate with her! Lots of friends joined our family to celebrate.
