Butterfly Pavilion

On Sunday we made our way to the Butterfly Pavilion. At first Brooke was a little overwhelmed with things flying around her head and at her face. After about 10 minutes she got into it and was pointing to them all. It was really cool and a lot of fun!

New Chair

Okay.. we already know Brooke is super spoiled. She now has her own sofa chair. The Elmo chair she loved, but she had to hold on not to fall out. The foam was compressed and it sloped forward. But this one is so cute!

Like Father.. Like Daughter

Brooke very much loves to sit on her daddy's lap while he is at his computer and try to type. So.. Matt got her own keyboard to type on. She loves it too! Sometimes just playing with the cord is endless fun!

Sesame Street

I have found my saving grace while I am trying to make dinner every night. Brooke loves Sesame Street and will sit nicely and watch it, instead of pulling at my legs and whining while I'm trying to cook.

I also took a video of her when I first started the show. Notice how all of her attention is towards the t.v.? Occasionally you will know she's still alive by her hopping to the theme song.

Cruel Parents

I can't help but laugh again just looking at these pictures. Aren't we cruel that we do things like put her shorts on her head for our entertainment?

Rockall

We just returned yesterday from a fantastic week at Rockall in Georgian Bay, Canada. My family has owned a small island for a few generations. It's pretty rustic, but very relaxing and beautiful. Matt's dad joined us on our trip. Brooke traveled like a super star and did well on the planes, slept well at Rockall, and even handled her older cousin Zach. The weather was pretty fantastic too! It was good to see family and relax.

4th of July

As many of you know.. we go up to Gold Hill every 4th of July. Matt has been helping cook pancakes for the pancake breakfast that the Fire Department puts on as a fundraiser every 4th of July. Matt has been flipping pancakes since around 1990. Here is a few pictures of Brooke on the 4th.

Uncle Cliff came to visit because one of his friends was getting married in Boulder on the 4th, unfortunately we didn't see much of him since we went up to Gold Hill, and then we left for Canada on the 5th.
