4 months and 3 weeks old!

Brooke finally had her 4 month Wellness Appointment, only 3 weeks late! She is doing fantastic. She 15 lbs even, which puts her int he 63rd percentile. She is 25.5 inches in length, which is the 77th percentile. Her head is 16.5 inches which is the 61st percentile. Her weight is catching up with her height but she is still a tall girl!

Here is a picture of her today. She is quite the crab with having a cold and having her shots yesterday. This picture was taken about half a second before she starting crying again! Poor little girl! Good thing she is cute even with a crusty nose and some red eyes!

Ikaika's baby?

Ikaika loves Brooke.. as you can see!

Brooke and the Stanley Cup!

Aunt Shine works at Super Shuttle who happens to be a top sponsor for the Broomfield Event Center where the all-star game is tonight. Because of that they had the Stanley Cup at their office this morning. Brooke got to show her team spirit for both the Red Wings and the Avalanche. She had to show team spirit for both since family members from both sides have are loyal fans.

How long does Christmas last?

We celebrated our 3rd and last Christmas this last weekend. Most of us went skiing/snowboarding and then came back to our house to have dinner and open presents. This is the whole group with the exception of Brooke. She was a sleep because she was tired after all the excitement from the day!

Rolling Over! Yay!

Brooke has now been rolling from her back to her front for about a week now. Today for the first time, she got pissed off enough that she rolled from her tummy to her back! Yay!

Our House

We had our house painted this last summer.. Basically the week before Brooke was born! Our hosue was a boring beige color like half of the houses in our neighborhood. I absolutely love the color we picked, which I thought about as I drove into the driveway today.. so I thought I should post a picture to show everyone else! Even if it is a little late!

4 Months Old!

Brooke turned 4 months old today! An exciting thing happened today too! Brooke is rolling over from her back to the front. She kind of did it the other day but was on the edge of the rug and I felt like it helped her a little. Today she rolled over on to her tummy a ton of times! Sad thing is.. she rolls over immediately to her tummy when on her back now, but hates being on her tummy! Sounds like she'll have to figure out how to roll to her back now!

Unfortunately I'm an unorganized mommy and didn't make her 4 month check up appointment until like 2 weeks ago, and the soonest they can get her in was the 28th, so she will actually be 4 months and 3 weeks at her check up!

Brooke is going to have another first tomorrow! We are going to Winter Park tomorrow to go snowboarding! We'll get some pictures!

Christmas with Nana

We celebrated Christmas yesterday with Matt's mom andf step-dad, as well as his sisters Shine, Libby and Libby's boyfriend Sky.

There was lots of loot given by all!

Brooke of course had the most amount of presents, but still liked the tissue paper!

Brooke got an awesome giraffe that we named Gigi from her Nana.

Brooke decided Gigi tasted good too!

Brooke loved all the excitedment of opening presents and being passed around!

She also got a glow worm from Nana. I had one similar, but it didn't play music!

Brooke with Grandpa Larry

Nana and Brooke also got Matt and I a gift. It's a shadow box with a picture of Brooke at 3 months, as well as a mold of her hand and foot at three months! It's really cool!

Rice Cereal.. YUM?!?

Well Brooke has begun eating rice cereal. I'm not sure she likes it, but she is starting to actually swallow it maybe every 5th spoonful!

Happy New Years!!

Matt and I celebrated our first New Years with Brooke by having dinner on New Years eve with our friends Iggi, Alison and their son Winston. Brooke and Winston had fun playing as always, and we enjoyed some yummy black eyed pea soup to ring in the new year. We of course celebrated at 10pm when the ball dropped in New York City so we could go home and be in bed around 11.. like the old people we are! The four of us toasted to gracefully becoming competant parents in tne New Year!

I hope all of your wishes for the New Year come true! Have a good one!

Dog Carting

Matt's family (his mom and his sister Shine) have Newfoundland dogs. If you don't know what they are, they are huge black dogs. They go every year down to Denver on every Saturday in December before Christmas and give little kids rides in carts. Carts that the dogs pull. This was Brooke's first year to go see them and although she wasn't able to sit up in the cart by herself to be pulled.. she still had a great time!

This is a cute picture of Brooke bundled up because it was "f'ing" cold out!
