Babbling Brooke

Some cute pictures of Brooke. She was babbling away today and these are some pictures while Jen and I were talking to her. She liked when I said "Ho Ho Ho". I guess she is ready for Santa Claus! Jen took a short video of her babbling! It was so cute! It was taken on her cell phone, so I can't figure out how to put in on here.. if anyone knows how! Help me! Otherwise enjoy the pictures of the cutie!

Swimming

Matt didn't have to work today.. so we decided to take Brooke to the Rec Center. Brooke loves her baths and we had a handed down bathing suit for Brooke, so we decided to see if she liked swimming.

This is a picture of Brooke and I pre-swimming. We thought we should take a picture of her in her cute bathing suit before going swimming in case she absolutely hated it and weren't able to get a happy picture afterwards.



She liked it though! We only lasted a short while in the actual swimming pool before she got cold. She didn't complain but her little arms started to turn purple. We then took her into the family hot tub which is like 99 degrees, and she liked that too! Plus she stayed warm, and so did mom!



Brooke liked swimming with her dad too..



She's already working on her backstroke!

Brooke's 2 Month Doctor's Appointment

okay.. so this post is a little late, considering we went to the doctor a week ago..

Brooke now weighs 10lbs 14ounces (or at least she did last Friday). Thats a gain of 3lbs 10ounces from when she was born. She is now in the 50% percentile for weight.

She also grew 3 inches and is now 23 inches long, putting her in the 75% for length.

Her head also got bigger (go figure.. look at her parent's heads), and is now 15 1/2 inches.

Brooke also got 4 shots while there, and absolutely screamed! Mom sang the wheels on the bus song to calm her down (the baby on the bus goes "whah "whah" "whah") She was shocked that someone would hurt her on purpose!

Brooke is Smiling!

Brooke has been smiling for several weeks now.. But it is very difficult to catch with a camera, because she wants to smile at faces, not at cameras! This is my best attempt, but still not a picture of her smile when it is a full smile!

Blankie - Mr. Giraffe

Brooke has been given a blankie, and she seems to really like it! It helps her sleep when she's not swaddled at nap times.. and she likes to cuddle it!

Uncles and Aunts

This week Uncle Cliff came to visit. Cliff has done pretty well with her.. and she seems to put up with him!





Auntie Domany also is very important to Brooke. She comes every Monday to hang out with Brooke and I, and will be watching Brooke on Mondays when I go back to work!
