What's Halloween?
Well Brooke might be wondering why we keep dressing her up in funny costumes..
We were invited to a little Halloween party on Sunday which gave us our first opportunity to dress her up in her little Monkey costume.
This picture was taken of Brooke on the way to the party. She loves her new sunglasses!
This is a picture of Brooke dressed up with her friends Kiele and Winston.

7 Weeks Old!!
Brooke is 7 weeks old today. It's time to post some updated pictures, as she is growing so fast!
This is a onsie that her grandmary gave her. We had to take a picture of her in it before it was too small!
We thought Brooke was a morning baby.. since she wakes up so early. I guess not, cause she sure scowled at me when I tried to take her picture this morning!
Brooke is starting to be able to grasp things and hold on to them for a while. This is her holding my chapstick.
Since Brooke is starting to grasp things, I've been looking for toys she can hold on to that are soft, so she doesn't bash herself in the head! She likes her froggie!
Just some cute pictures of her on her changing table. She is such an angel.. or at least she looks like one!
This is a little premature.. But she can actually hold her head up for about 5 minutes in the Bumbo before she starts to slump!

Sleeping Babes..
Every morning Brooke wakes us up somewhere between 6:30 and 7am. She then is completely fussy and makes sure mom and dad are completely awake. Then she promplty falls back to sleep! Only occassionally is she willing to lay in bed with us and fall back a sleep. Today was one of these mornings, so I snuck out of bed and caught a picture of her Matt sleeping.. Aren't they cute!
Brooke makes some friends..
Brooke and I spent last Wednesday with a few other babies. It was good to hang out with other mom sand see babies who are a little older than Brooke. When we first got there Winston and Brooke were laying next to each other and everytime that Winston flailed his arms and felt Brooke's hand he would try and hold it. It was so cute! Unfortunately we didn't take a picture!
We then had dinner with Winston and his parents on Sunday and here is a picture from that!

GrandMary Vistis again!
GrandMary (my mom) couldn't stay away from Brooke and came out to visit again. 3 weeks was all she could stay away from her granddaughter. We had a lot of fun while she was here. We did all those exciting baby things from going to the mall to giving Brooke a bath. GrandMary was able to help mom and dad sleep too! She enjoyed cuddling with Brooke in the morning while mom and dad slept in. Brooke misses her already!
We also celebrated Brooke's 1 month birthday. GrandMary made creamed chicken for dinner and we had a cake to go with it! Brooke enjoyed watching us all eat!

Congratulations to Amy and Joe!

Thursday night Matt and I were able to join our friends Amy and Joe at their wedding. Amy was beautiful and so was the ceremony! We wish the best to both of them!

Brooke came with us, all dressed up for the occasion. She had a great time and stayed up for most of the party. She was passed around to be held by all the grandma's in attendance. She thinks we should go to a party EVERY night!!

Sick Mommy
This is a thanks to all of our friends and family who have been so helpful over the last several weeks while I have been continually sick. Hopefully it's all figured out now!
For those of you who didn't know.. I had quite a bit of cramping and immense bleeding about 2 weeks aftr Brooke was born. Matt and I spent two full nights awake in the ER, instead of getting the needed sleep we needed. They then decided to do an emergency D&C on me last Tuesday in the wee hours of the morning. That seemed to work for several days! But then on Sunday I woke up with cramps again and a high fever. I had the uncontrolable shakes at home for over an hour before we went to the ER again. This time they think it was in infection for the D&C. I've been on antibiotics for about 48 hours now and finally my fever is gone.
Matt and I have been so lucky to have such great friends and family who have been so helpful the last few weeks. They often came over for a couple hours to let mom sleep in the afternoon, and several of them stayed until the wee hours to let both mom and dad have several hours of uninterupted sleep!
Love you all!
