Memorial Day Weekend

I hope everyone is having or had a good Memorial Day Weekend. It has been great to have a 3 day weekend! Matt and I were able to get a ton done around the house this weekend, although we have a lot more that I want to get done before the baby comes. We cleaned the basement, helped his sister Shine move, planted flowers outside, and painted the baby room.

The baby room is a pretty shade of purple. It's a lilac color, but reminds me of the color of silver roses, as it has a little bit of a grey tint to it. I really like the way it turned out! I took pictures so you can see too! Our baby room is basically done now, as I bought all the furniture on craigslist, and spent less than $300 on two dressers, a crib and mattress, a night stand, a glider and ottoman, and a bookshelf.

Matt and I went and saw the new Pirates of the Carribean this weekend. I liked it better than the second one, but the first one is still my favorite. I would suggest you watch the first two before you go see this one, because there were parts that took me a little bit to catch on to, because I couldn't remember the second one.

We are about to leave to go to a Memorial Day BBQ at our friend Iggi and Alison's house. It should be fun, and luckily it has cleared up some outside! I'm bringing corn on the cob, which is my absolute favorite thing right now. I could eat it with every meal!

Let me know what you guys did for Memorial Day weekend!

First Baby Post

Hi all. I went back to Michigan this weekend and it was great to see so many people. While I was there however I was told that I needed to start a blog. So here I am with my first attempt!

A quick update for those who don't know. I'm 6 months pregnant! We have had two ultrasounds, the first one showing everything was healthy, but not the sex of our baby! The second one showed we are having a baby girl! I plan to post pictures of things as they develop, and will now have a place to post pictures of my baby girl once she is born!

This weekend was nice, as I mentioned before, I went back to Michigan to visit my family and friends. I was able to hang out with Alanna on Friday and see her new house. Her house was great and I loved all the wood! She also took me to Coney Island which I always miss!

On Saturday I was able to connect with several of my friends for dinner, including my friends Monica, Kevin, Larry, Alanna, and Tim. It was fun to catch up with everyone! I was able to see most of them again the next day at a baby shower my sister and mom threw for me.
The baby shower was fun and went well. My sister Veronica did an awesome job at planning and hosting it! Thank you to everyone who came and contributed presents to our baby!
Well keep checking this page! Hopefully I'll keep up on posting new developments and news!
